Candidates who have successfully Completed the Advanced ICITSS – Advanced IT course on or before 24th May, 2023 are eligible to apply for appearing in the test to be held on Saturday , 24th June 2023. Please DO NOT apply in case you do not meet this eligibility criteria.

Any application which does not meet this criteria as per Board of Studies database will be summarily rejected without any communication.

NOTES FOR INFORMATION AND GUIDANCE OF APPLICANTS

Advanced Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills(Advanced ICITSS) – Advanced Information Technology Test (Under Regulation 29D(iii), 51E/72E of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988)

Online Application Form Starts at 11:00 AM (IST) on Monday , 05th June 2023 Last Date : Friday , 09th June 2023

Candidates are advised to carefully read, understand and follow the instructions while filling in the Form and retain the same for future reference.

  1. Date of ExaminationSaturday , 24th June 2023
  2. Timings of Examination 10.30 AM. to 12.30 PM. (IST)       Reporting time    9.15 A.M.(IST)

    a) The CBT may be conducted at the centers in one or more shift, depending upon the applications received for the center. Exam department will allot to the shift on first come, first serve basis and as per applications received and seats available at the centre. No change in shift or center requests will be entertained.

  3. Examination Fee Rs. 500/- for Centres in India, INR 850 for Kathmandu(Nepal) Centre, USD 150 for Dubai Centre
    A candidate will not be required to pay the test fee when he applies for the test for the first time.
  4. Mode of Payment of Fee

    Exam fee is to be remitted Online only using Master/ Visa/ Maestro Credit/Debit Card or through net banking via Paytm. The Fee is waived for First Time Applicants and Candidates with permanent disabilities who are holding valid permanent concession card issued by the Institute.

  5. Examination Centres

    The Institute reserves its right to withdraw any centre and / or the Zone and / or transfer all or a part of the candidates of a zone to another zone at any stage without assigning any reason. Once a centre is opted for, no change is allowed under any circumstances.

    a) Candidates will mandatorily be required to choose any of the cities listed under Option- I and he /she will be allotted to the city so opted in Option-I, in the normal course.

    b)Choosing Option-II is NOT mandatory. Candidates opting for Option-II may note that in case sufficient number of candidates opt for option-II centre, then they will be allotted Option-II centre ONLY. Further, no change of the centre will be permitted.

  7. AICITSS – IT Course: From 1st May 2021, NEW COURSE has been introduced for AICITSS – IT. Candidates who have started AICITSS – IT course on or before 30-APR-2021 will be treated as OLD COURSE candidates and those who have started their AICITSS – IT course on or after 01-May-2021 will be treated as NEW COURSE candidates. However the candidates who have undergone this course through https://virtualmcs.icai.org/ even after 30-Apr-2021 will be covered under OLD AICITSS IT COURSE.

    The AICITSS IT Course will be shown to the candidates while filling their AICITSS -IT test form based on the Institute’s data. In case it is not shown correctly, student can give their feedback on the same for further checking. The data as per office records will be taken as final and the admit cards will be released accordingly.

  8. Last date for filling of online application at the site http://advit.icaiexam.icai.org is Friday , 09th June 2023 (23:59 IST)

    How the application form (PDF) should reach the Institute? There is no need to submit any print out of the application form at the office of the Institute. However, you may keep the copy of PDF for your own records at least till the release of admit cards.

  10. Admission to the Test

    No candidate shall be admitted to the test unless he / she has successfully completed the course till 24th May, 2023 and if admitted, the results is likely to be withheld/cancelled.

  11. Issue of Admit Card
    • The Admit Cards for the Test will be hosted on the same site i.e. http://advit.icaiexam.icai.org by 20th June, 2023 and candidates are requested to download the same from the above mentioned web site and check all particulars, especially that the Registration Number and Name is appearing correctly. No separate email / sms will be sent in this regard. No physical admit cards will be issued. All correspondence in the above matter should be addressed to the Additional Secretary (Exams.) of the Institute at New Delhi quoting the following to facilitate prompt action.

  12. Details of Test

    This will be an Objective Type MCQ based examination of 100 marks having 100 questions of 1 mark each for both old and new AICITSS -IT Course Test.There will be no negative marking. There would be no reading time. Candidates should report to the centre by 9.15 A.M. (IST), Exam will start at 10.30 AM (IST). Late arrival of candidates will not be permitted. Candidates will not be permitted to leave the examination hall till the conclusion of the test.

  13. Requirement for passing the Test
    • A candidate for the Test shall be declared ordinarily to have passed the test if he / she secures a minimum of 40% (Forty Percent) marks.
    • Those who pass will be given grades as follows:
    • 85% and above=A+
    • 70% to 84%=A
    • 55% to 69%=B+
    • 40%-54%=B
    • No merit list will be declared
    • There is no provision for verification of marks or supply of certified copy of answer sheet.
  14. Declaration of result
    • Results will be hosted on http://advit.icaiexam.icai.org Candidates are advised in their own interest to print the same for their record.
    • No separate statement of marks will be issued.
    • No pass certificates will be issued.
  15. Fee and Refund of fee

    A candidate will not be required to pay the test fee when he applies for the test for the first time. The application once made cannot be withdrawn under any circumstances and the candidate will NOT be allowed to claim fee waiver in case of his/her request for the withdrawal / rejection of his/her application.

    • If he applies for the test for the second time onwards, he will be required to pay the test fee plus applicable bank charges.
    • Candidates with permanent disabilities who are holding valid permanent concession card issued by the Institute are exempt from paying the fee.
    • The Fee once paid by a candidate shall not be refunded / adjusted under any circumstances.

    In case multiple online payments are received by the Institute due to systemic error and you do not get a refund within 20 days from the last date for submission of applications, you can claim a refund of the excess amount paid by you, by writing an email to us at advanceditt_examhelpline@icai.in within 30 days from the last date for submission of forms, along with documentary evidence, such as bank/credit card statement, of having paid the exam fees more than once. ICAI will verify the same and refund the excess amount, if any, paid by you.

  16. Candidates with permanent disabilities will be extended concessions as follows: Less than 50% disability- extra time of half an hour 50% or more of disability-extra time of one hour Assistance of writer will be provided if required.
  17. For any/all dispute(s) relating to the Test conducted by the ICAI, the Courts at Delhi shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
    NOTE : In the event of furnishing any incorrect information / misrepresentation, the admission shall become invalid and no correspondence in this regard shall be entertained.

  19. Step – 1 Login to the portal

    The applicant shall visit the website http://advit.icaiexam.icai.org, Click on APPLY FOR EXAM /LOGIN link on the home page and enter his/her 10 Digit Registration number validated by their Date Of Birth as per ICAI records. These details will be validated with our database of candidates who have successfully completed the course requirements by 24th May, 2023 and the application form will be released for filling.

    In case these details are not validated, the applicant will still be able to submit the application on a provisional basis In case of any difficulty in filling online application form for the test, please call the following Helpline Nos. or write to us at advanceditt_examhelpline@icai.in well in time at least one working day before the close of form.Please DO NOT apply in case you do not meet this eligibility criteria.

    The applicant will fill the details and upload the photograph & signatures.Uploading of photograph & signatures as jpeg / jpg files is mandatory. The size of photo / signature should not be more than 50KB each. Please do not include dots in the name of files (eg. Incorrect naming A.P.Kumar.jpg , Correct naming APKumar.jpg) Click here to know more about cropping of scanned files. (i.e. Photograph and Signature)

    Scan the PHOTO/SIGNATURE and save as jpeg or jpg files ONLY for uploaing. DO NOT CONVERT/ CHANGE THE EXTENSION OF THE FILES CREATED AS PNG / TIF / BMP. THIS WILL NOT GET UPLOADED.

    Step – 2 Online payment of Examination fee

    For filling of Online Examination application form for appearing in the test, a candidate has to remit a applicable fee and applicable bank charges.

    A candidate will not be required to pay the test fee when he applies for the test for the first time.

    The Fee should be remitted using Online Payment gateway facility with Visa/Master/Maestro Credit/Debit Card or through internet banking via Paytm.

    Step – 3The candidates are advised to check the application status thru the link “Check Application Status” given above whether the application has been captured Successfully by the portal. Mere deduction of amount from your account or saving the details by you does not mean a successful application unless it is recorded successful at the exam application portal. Candidates are also advised to keep a printout of the barcoded exam application form that is generated at the end of the process, for their records.

  20. Guidelines for Examinees/ students appearing for Examinations in wake of ongoing pandemic Novel Corona Virus (Covid-19)

    The Examinees/ students must ensure to follow following guidelines for examinations.

    • a. All examinees must ensure before reaching the examination centre that they do not have any symptom or suffering from ongoing pandemic disease.
    • b. All examinees must wear a face mask/ cover during all times including while entering in the examination centre and conduct of examination. However, at the time of entry and confirmation of identity the examinees while signing of attendance sheet, are required to remove their face mask/ cover.
    • c. All examinees must always maintain social distance within and outside examination centre.
    • d. All examinees are advised to carry a small transparent bottle of hand sanitizer for use within the examination hall/ room.
    • e. All examinees are advised to reach the examination centre by 9:15 am.
    • f. All examinees are advised to co-operate with the examination functionaries for adherence to the COVID 19 and other guidelines during conduct of examinations.
    • g. All examinees are advised to bring their own pen, pencil, water bottle as borrowing/ lending/ exchange of the same in the examination hall is strictly prohibited.
